Zasnovan na snimcima od 9,5 mm koje je načinio beogradski kino-amater između dva svetska rata, ovaj film porodičnu arhivu prikazuje kao odraz istorije Jugoslavije. Put porodice u zemlji koja je obnovljena, a zatim opet nestala potvrđuje reči Kloda Simona da, “iako se i sama ponavlja, istoriju treba da ponovi svaki pojedinac u svom pokolenju.”

Based on 9.5 mm found footage filmed by a Belgrade cine amateur between the two world wars, this film looks into the private family archive as a reflection of Yugoslav history. Following the life of his family in the country that was rebuilt and disappeared again, it confirms the words of Claude Simon that although it repeats itself – history should be repeated by every individual in his generation.

Film prikazuje godišnji prsten (god) drveta koji, izdvojen i blistav, podseća na planetu. Pred mrklom crnom pozadinom, prsten se pojavljuje, nestaje i ponovo se pojavljuje, nekad iznenada, nekad postepeno. Menja se njegova veličina i ugao pod kojim se vidi. Ispitujući granice percepcije, spljoštenost kruga ustupa mesto trodimenzionalnom obliku. Svedene, ali veličanstvene slike prelaze u muziku intenzivno visokih nota i ekstremnog basa. Onostran i neuhvatljiv, „Jedan“ vodi gledaoca na putovanje koje spaja zemaljsko i kosmičko, stvarnost i maštu.

The film features an annual growth ring of a tree that, being singled out and possessing a radiant glow, evokes a sense of the planetary. In front of a pitch black backdrop, the ring appears, disappears and reappears, at times suddenly, at other times gradually. What changes is its scale and the angle it is seen in. Testing out the frontiers of perception, the flatness of the circular shape gives way to a three-dimensional object. The minimal, yet grand imagery unfolds to a musical soundtrack of intensely high notes and an extreme bass. Otherworldly and intangible, One takes the viewer on a journey that amalgamates earthly and cosmic spheres, the real and the imaginary.

Kao omaž jednom od najpoznatijih Ravelovih dela – „Bolero“, Mikstejp projekat je eksperimentalni muzički video koji istražuje procese tehnologije, ponavljanja i mesto današnjeg čoveka u modernom dobu, a time i njegovu potrebu za eskapizmom – ovog puta, potreba je dnevna doza duvana.

As a tribute to one of Ravel’s most famous works – Bolero, the Mixtape project presents an experimental music video that explores the processes of technology, repetition, and the place of present-day humans in the modern age, and thus their need for escapism – this time in their need of a daily smoke.

Ženski lik (sama autorka) hoda kroz vodu prema obližnjem ostrvu. Iako blizu, ostrvo kao metafora ličnog prostora i slobode, postaje sve udaljenije a njen hod, ispresecan postupcima montaže, sve duži. Pod pritiskom prepreka i ograničenja, konačno se otvara polje njene lične mašte, gde sve postaje moguće.

A female character (the author herself) walks through the water towards a nearby island. Although close, the island, as a metaphor for personal space and freedom, becomes more and more distant, and its course, interspersed with editing procedures, becomes longer and longer. Under the pressure of obstacles and limitations, the field of her personal imagination finally opens up, where everything becomes possible.

Hotel „Zoo“ na brdu je pun gostiju, divljih gostiju. Ptice, tigrovi, lavovi, zmije, orlovi… Stari gosti ne odlaze, a novi neprestano stižu. Vremenom nastaje panika. Ptice histerično lete, tigrovi riču, zmije sikću. Svi žele da budu izlečeni i prostor im je jedini lek. Mogu ih spasiti samo čuvari, stvorenja koja nikada nisu upoznala drugačiju sudbinu od svoje. Ta stvorenja imaju osobine slične njihovim, ali govore drugim jezikom, tako da se njihove nade i snovi ne mogu ostvariti, ali uvek nađu način da komuniciraju. Umesto ozdravljenja, čovek im nudi nešto drugo. Divlje stvorenje u njima je pripitomljeno. Kriza je rešena, životinje su se povukle u ćoškove svojih prostorija. Nastavljaju da žive, ali sada u svojim snovima. Ne postavljaju pitanja, samo ćute, žudeći za slobodom.

In the Zoo Hotel on the hill there are many guests, wild guests. Birds, tigers, lions, snakes, eagles… The old guests don’t leave, and the new guests keep arriving. As time passes, panic erupts. Birds fly hysterically, tigers roar, snakes hiss. They all want to be healed and space is their only cure. They can only be saved by the guards, creatures that have never known a different fate then their own. Those creatures have features similar to theirs, but they speak in different tongues, so their hopes and dreams can’t be answered, but they always find a way to communicate. Instead of healing, man offers them something else. That wild thing inside them is tamed. The crisis is eliminated, the animals have retreated into the corners of their rooms. They continue to live, but now in their dreams. They don’t ask questions, they just stay silent longing for freedom.

An experimental found footage film assembled from lost filmstrips and different movie clips. Like a collage, the film tells a story of a frustrated married couple through various fragmented sequences and visual abstractions.

Progresija od 122 reči kroz njihov zvuk i značenje, uparenih sa 60 pronađenih snimaka TV reklama iz 1950-ih. Svaki insert se pojavljuje dva puta kao déjà-vu obrazac kognitivnih asocijacija izazivajući mnoštvo emocija iz banalne svakodnevice, flešbekova ili ponašanja i postepeno nas vodi od jednog određenog osećanja ka njegovoj suprotnosti.

Progression of 122 words through their sound and meaning, pared with 60 found footage clips from 1950s TV-commercials. Each of the inserts appears twice as a pattern of déjà-vu cognitive associations, evoking a multitude of emotions from banal dailiness, flashbacks, or behaviors, slowly leading us from one particular feeling to its opposite.
